CL: parting out 4000

I called the guy and bought that extra step that hangs below the regular foot board on the left sude.
He's not into tractors but wants the double reduction rear end for a hot rod.
Yes the SOS is kaput. He said the engine runs real good and the rest of the parts look good and aren't spoken for.
Might be worth looking into if anyone needs something. That motor would fit right into a 2/3000 if someone needs one. Lots of other parts will fit too. Probably has the radiator with the oil cooler that would be hard to find.
Anyway, 3000Oh, thanks for posting this.

I'll be making a road trip this weekend to pick up the engine.
If anyone local, or between here (central MI) and there needs
something, let me know and maybe I can pick it up for you.
Thanks for posting the link.

You might let him know that the rear end in that tractor was only designed for a top road speed of around 17 or 18 mph, and running it at hot rod road speeds might shorten the life dramatically.

Would the PTO handle, and cable be the same as on my '63 4000 SOS diesel

Also the rotator bracket on the upper three point link.
