Did the 101 ever have reset bottoms?
I thought they just used a shear bolt. I emailed the seller about it and he said you could just back up to reset it.
Didnt know they offered that on a 101.
Plow is priced way too high imo but I'm just curious about the reset.

The spring trip beam was a very good feature as it worked as it worked as he described.

I would really like to have that plow, but to pricey for me,
I have use a Ford 101 plow before and it preform well,
Would really like to have a 2x16? Ford 101 plow but so far have not found one, in my area of west Ky.

My 101 is 2-16. Looks like that one but not quite as pretty.
But shear bolt trip not reset.
Guess it doesn't matter much.
In about 6 years of using it and digging out some pretty fair rocks I've only tripped it once. The plow I'd like to find is a Ford 2-16 roll over. There was one on Fargo CL about a year ago that was very nice but they wanted $1200 for it. To rich for my wallet.
Thanks to all who replied.

Yup, I have had both and the spring trip is the cats meow in my rocky terrain. I would check to make sure they operate as they should cause some of the ones I've seen have been rusted shut. BTW they are usually advertised as just a Ford 101 plow on CL. I guess some people don't know they're trip plows. If you look at the side plate on the one in the ad then compare it to your manual trip plow you will see that the bolt pattern is different. This will make it easier to ID when one comes up on CL cause if you ask the owner if it a spring trip and he didn't know it the price just want up.
