4000 Cat 2 Lift Arms

After market no.
Is there something wrong with yours or are you wanting to convert to the extendable arms.

I want to convert. I'd like to use the lift arms off my 4000 to replace the damaged Cat I lift arms on my new to me 445A. Telescoping arms are much easier on me.

The arms with the telescoping ends are the same for Cat I and Cat II. The balls are held in by small clips, and are replaceable. To convert to Cat II you would just replace the balls.

I've got 2 sets of the early style extenda-link lift arms, one set is on my 4000 and I have a extra set from a 4000 we parted out.
They do come in handy for hooking up to a heavy piece of equipment but for the most part I don't like them, if your lifting them by hand to fit them over a hitch pin their much heavier and bulky. Also on mine there's about 1/2" of slop in the locking part that makes it hard to properly adjust a plow or grader box, it's like having lift arms with worn out ball ends.

I don't know how many balls we've lost over the years because of those clips not holding them in, I have pins welded to the hyd coupling bracket behind the seat, whenever I unhook the lift arms from something I remove the balls and drop them onto the pins.
I'm also doing away with the cat 1 balls and just keeping cat 2 balls and a set of c1-c2 bushings.

flex link or "quick link" arms that extend out to help hook up heavy equipment.. And they have fixed cat II balls in them.

Thanks for the info. I've never used a Ford telescoping end but do like the ones on my Kubota, which uses non-replaceable rod ends. Looks like I'm going to have to make my own, another project I wanted to avoid, but simpler than some of the others on the list.
