Ford NAA steering problem

I was moving my Ford NAA when I felt a pop. The steering now only turn to the Right, and the entire shaft now backs out about 3 inches when I turn to the left and the box does not move the tires to left. I know something is broken and I hope someone can point me in the right direction so I can fix. Thanks

Start by clicking on the link below.
Then buy the manual if you don't have one.
If you have the manual read the section on the steering.
Those steering boxes are very, very simple.
Hardest thing is pulling the steering wheel and tin to get it out. I don't much work on the Red Ford tractors so can't say how much of the tin you need to pull.
Take the box completely apart. Empty the old oil and crud out of the bottom. Inspect the lower bearing and replace the upper bearing and races. Install new sector shaft seals. All parts are available from this great site.
In a scale of 1-10 with 1 being changing the oil and 10 being a complete rebuild of the transmission this job is about a 3 or 4.
Again, everything you need to know is in that manual.
We could spend all day typing how to do it.
Give a man a fish he will eat for a day.
Teach a man to buy, read and follow the manual and he will not only eat fish for a lifetime but will know how to fix his tractor.
