ford 600

just had my ford 600 in to the shop and had the distributor replaced, new carb and exhaust manifold gaskets. it runs great but it sputters as soon as a load is put on. any ideas would be helpful thanks

Does choking it hurt or help?? If it helps then it is running to lean. If it hurts it is running to rich. Also when was the last time you serviced the air cleaner and dumped the mud and water out of it and fill it with fresh oil

never have touched the choke. air cleaner was just done. thanks for reply

Using the choke is a good way to trouble shoot where your problem is

Sounds like ignition but uncertain from available information.

Never look to carburetion unless and until you are certain that the ignition is spot on.
