I have a to believe is a, I call it a '63 Diesel 4000. I call it a '63 because the serial # are gone because of battery acid. It's a '62-64, so I picked a '63.
I am going to pull the injector pump off to do some fixing, cleaning, and painting, and I don't want to paint it blue with the rest.
I have brought the piston to 18degs before TDC and the pump does not quite match up. I wrote down the numbers, and I have a 172, but the pump numbers are , CONN9 A543-H. The Ford Tractors shop manual say's that is for a 144 engine, and set @ 23 degs.
I am confused. Do I time it at 23, or 18.
