Ford 640. Plug under right foot running board. Anything to do with hydraulics? It's rounded off in hex head. Can't remove it.

Not on a tractor but in the past with a rounded allen head, I've cut a 1" piece off of a allen wrench and tig welded in place. Will remove easily with an adjustable or socket then.

Yep. The one with no paint. What's behind it? Anything to worry about if it won't come out? Saw in archives on here that you can prime or bleed hydraulics there?

Well. I don't ,now. I had read on
some old post you could prime pump
there. And some said bleed from
there. Gonna leave it alone.

I had a problem with priming my pump
on a 172 engine after replacement.
I spun the allen wrench port on
the pump and figured all w3as lost.

A forum answer swai9d I could do it wearing
my Sunday best in 5 minutes.

It worked.

Just
1) run tractor.
2) remove reservoir dipstick.
3) place control in raise position.
4) Apply air pressure in dipstick port.
5) if working THE LIFT GOES UP.

I did this several times with each time the
lift would go up. However, it still didn't
work on it own.
After a few hours of (on and off) doing this
the pump started working on its own.

It now lifts from 0 to up (no load)
6 seconds.

NOTE the pressure inside the reservoir may
show all your gasket leaks.

The air trick did it for us. Then
bled system with plastic tube from
pump to fill hole under seat.
Worked great. Hint don't rev motor
up if you are holding tube in with
greasy hands!! Don't ask!
