Ford TW35 power steering pump

I just got this tractor and I used it about 8 hours and it used about a half quart of fluid. I cant see any obvious leaks so I assume it is going into the engine. Has anyone had experience fixing one. Also it only works with the engine above 1000 rpm.

Yep, it's going into the engine - seals leaking due to worn bearings most likely. Figure on a new pump.

Thanks for the comeback. I may have found the leak. I found that the lines go to the back too. Does the pump run the hydrolics too? I also posted this in tractor talk.Going to work on it more now.

Well I found the leak. It is not going into the engine like I first thought. It is where it mounts. I still have to take it off.
The lines only go to the steering, not to the back. I see the hydraulic pump now.
