working on a 5000 sos have some speeds r2 3 4 7 8 10 but eratic drained oil and filter looked like muddy oil can I fill with diesel fuel and just try to flush it out then fill hyd oil and hope that plungers free up

I'd not use straight diesel. Maybe a 50/50 mixture of that and 134D.

If you're saying it only operates in the ranges you named, you have direct drive clutch problems.

it seems to but then it seems to jump to different gears and sometimes the inching petal works then not just thought maybe some of the shift valves are gummed up
