Verticle exhaust on Jubilee

How do you "convert" your normal exhaust to a verticle exaust on a jubilee?? I will have to study it more but may want to convert to verticle. now with exhaust on the rear and had an 8n like that and I was tough to put implements on. The fumes about kill me!!!!

thank you all.

OH I see in parts you can buy a horizontal or verticle exhaust kit so that may be the best way....buy new parts....

How I routed mine. Simple and blows exhaust away from the tractor without letting rain water in.

I do not like the noise in my face on a small tractor, also in the wind, the exhaust will blow back in your face unless the pipe is very tall.

I installed a upright muffler on my tractor, TO35 Ferguson, after I caught the corn field on fire for the third time, with a below muffler, pulling the corn picker,

however, later I hit a limb with the upright exhaust pipe and broke off the rear corner of the exhaust manifold, cost me big time.

so I when back to under belly muffler and am much happier, no more corn picking for me, noise is much lower.

Make sure you get the right one for your tractor. The Jub has a
134 engine so the pipe is smaller on the muffler then the 172
engine.

I took my 2000 to a muffler shop and had an out the rear system done. Was cheap and quick. Simple on vertical to cut the pipe at the
right angle at the pipe side of the muffler-exhaust pipe interface and weld on the vertical you want......and done with alum clad pipe which
is the norm now. With their pipe benders and all you can get a nice looking job just the way you want it.

Hdonly....not bad....your right..solves all the problems with no new ones. that may be the ticket!!!!!!

I like it...and people say you get fumes in face from verticle and other replys here post other issues like overhead obstacles....nice...nicely done.

the aftermarket vertical exhaust 'tailpipe' is pretty cheap.

adding a turn-out from the auto parts store directing the horizontal exhaust tailpipe down or out is cheap too.

if your exhaust system is shot, cutting the exhaust tubing by the alternator/generator....loosening the muffler tailpipe clamp and twisting the pipe out is cheapest of all.(like hdonly pictured)

I scavenge everything so I got a bunch of muffler/tailpipe turn-outs/elbows from cutting up an old Harley drag pipe...chrome too :D
