I am finally getting to split the engine from transmission on this Ford 6000 to see if the torque clutch broke. I am already at a hang-up. I have several questions: Do I have take the brake paddles and brake control system totally off the tractor. Next question is about removing PTO cable, do I have remove the T-handle to get the cable to unscrew out of transmission or just take nut off that's just behind of the T-handle or is there more on the back-side of the dash? Now about the shiftier cable, I take the conduit nut off the bottom by the transmission after I put transmission in 10th gear or is there more up by the control to remove. I have the big service manual, but don't want to screw something up. Thanks for any help.

Brakes stay have to unhook some lines. inching pedal comes off. Raise steering pedestal raises up and block under fuel tank/rocker cover. For pto take knob/nut and take loose on cover and lay out of way. Do shifter as book says.

Get a proper manual. Read and understand it. Not something to coach one through in a chat forum.

Improper technique can cause expensive damage.
