So - following some advice from this board, off to the "good" auto parts store I go....This is the only store around that isn't a big chain, and folks there can get you parts without looking them up on the computer
first....lol Went like this:
Me: "You got any 5/16" brake lines? Like 16"-18" or so long?"
Parts Guy: "I got 20" - That work?"
Me: "I think so - Need to be sure it's 5/16 tho..."
Parts Guy: "5/16 takes a 1/2 wrench on the fittings." (he grabbed one from behind him on a tool display) "There it is..."
Me: "Good! Now, got any rubber fuel line that will fit over that?"
Parts Guy: "Sure - I gotta sell you a foot of it tho."
Me: "Do it!"
Parts Guy: Your total is $10.13, including these clamps you will need." (I did forget them!)
Handed him $15 and left, me and him smiling.....
