Posted this with the last thread, but wanted to make sure Bern saw it, so here it is again. So many of us owe Bern so much.
After getting a tire changed on the grain truck and a couple other jobs done, I sat down about 11:30 with the torch, went in through the big
hole in the bottom of the axle housing, and managed to cut the race on that cage needle bearing - didn't even nick the housing. Drove in new
bearing and put everyting else back together. Filled up sump w/oil and now my pto turns. I'm hearing what sounds like some gear noise I don't
remember hearing before, but it's turning fine. Wonder if it'll quiet down as it's ran/used more? Planning to hook up to auger wagon tomorrow
or next day and try it out.
Bern - can't thank you enough for your help. Your advice has been a tremendous benefit. Thank you so much.
