Drain plugs

I am wanting to change the fluids in my 1974 Ford 3000. I got the tractor a few weeks ago and have not gotten a manual yet. Could someone please tell me what the bolts in the pic drain. Thanks

The plug you have labelled as A is the drain plug for the rear axle, which is also the sump for the 3 point hydraulics. I'm not sure what the bolt that you ave labelled as B is, but I am pretty sure that it is not a drain plug. The transmission drain plug would be farther forward and it should have a square headed plug like the one you have labelled as A. The rear axle and transmission drains are the only ones under there except for the engine oil drain which is actually on the left side of the oil pan.

I found it in the I&T FO-31 manual. "B" is the Pressure Relief valve. My 4000 has it in a different location. Do not remove it unless you need to do any maintenance to the relief valve.

Yes, that's the pressure relief valve.
When I first got my 3000 I was having hydraulic
problems with it - don't remember now exactly
what, maybe a pinhole in the suction line. But I
called the dealer and was going to order a new
prv. There was an old school parts man there,
he's passed away now, and he said it was not the
prv. I asked him how he knew.
He said, "Looking at my computer here which lists
parts sold going back to the mid 1980s when we
first went digital and I have never sold one of
them."
So I took the hint and didn't buy it.
