2810 Horizontal Exhaust

I recently purchased a 2810 that desperately needs a new horizontal exhaust. Muffler seems to be easily available aftermarket, but I can't find the 82009286 pipe other than through CNH for $200. Plenty of aftermarket pipes out there though for the single-reduction rearend 2000/3000 series. Will one of these work? It looks like the 2000/3000 pipe might have a few extra bends to clear the clutch release lever?

2810 pipe and 3000 pipe are the same, mufflers are different for the double reduction axles
I think the extra bends are to clear the radius arms.

I put a horizontal exhaust on my 4000SU some years ago to work in my poultry barns, it stirred up to much dust so I took it off and went back to a short vertical muffler.
I was trimming around the shop this afternoon and seen the pipe hanging on an old pipe rack. It was only on the tractor for about a month and I had it stored in my shed until last year, I'll look it over tomorrow to see if it's still good, not sure if it would be something you'd be interested in or what it would cost to ship.

Is it a 4000 pipe or the 3000 pipe? If a 4000, I'd certainly be interested. If a 3000, since a new one is only $30 it may not be worth the trouble. Thanks for checking it out for me.

4000SU uses the same pipe as a 3000, but if you can get a new one for $30 do it, it would probably cost more than that to ship this old one.

Edit: Just looked them up on this site, thats a good deal for the pipe and muffler.

The second muffler # C7NN5230G for $41.88 is the one you need.

I think I want the C7NN5230H muffler that has the bracket for mounting to the floorboard, versus the G that mounts to the lower link pin? That muffler is more ($70) but still a lot cheaper than OEM.

Looking on Messick's more, C5NN5230AJ was superseded by C7NN5230H. This site lists the AJ as fitting the 4000 but is longer than the H, and it is only $48. I so wish I could see the part before ordering it.

Your right I got them mixed up
C7NN5230G is for 2600-3600 with the smaller axle
C7NN5230H is for a 4100-4600 with the larger axle
I looked back trying to find info on the C5NN5230AJ and it's not even listed in my old parts book so it was superseded early in production.
The main difference between the G and H mufflers is the G has a longer bracket to lower the muffler down to help the exhaust clear the axle.
The pics on this site are generic and don't show the actual muffler.

C7NN5230H is supposed to have replaced C5NN5230AJ, it should fit but you may have to trim part of the longer tail pipe off.

Ordered the H muffler and the 2000/3000 pipe from this site. Should be all set. Thanks again for your help.

Good morning, did you get this all swapped out? I'm thinking about doing the same thing with my 1986 Ford 3910. Can you post some pictures of how this pipe clears the drags links and how the muffler clears the hydraulic filter and rear axle.

Thanks, Michael
