cav pump torque settings important?

I fixed the fuel leak on a cav pump, and I am re-installing. 76 ford 550. I'm curious if it's important to torque the timing gear bolts and use thread lock, as well as torque the pump to the engine. Or do I just shut up and torque it to TITE

Thread locker should not be necessary if it is torqued to spec.

If you've been wrenching for a long time, you likely know what "tight" is without using a torque wrench. If not, then don't take a chance,
find a torque wrench and do it right. You don't want one of those bolts coming loose and working its way through the timing gears.
