I recently picked up a 1957 860 in really good shape mechanically, and I'm in the process of improving its appearance.
It is in very original condition--including the paint--except for being converted to 12v with alternator.
I happen to have a 12 volt generator sitting around that I removed from a Jubilee awhile back--I converted the Jubilee back to 6v as part of a restoration. (The generator is stamped with part number fas10139b, which I believe means it's from a Ford truck possibly?)
Anyway, this 860 is a great tractor that I would like to return to a more original appearance, but the 12V lights and starter sure are nice. So can anyone help me with the details of switching to a 12 volt "stealth" setup using the 12V generator I removed from my Jubilee?
I am planning to put a new wire harness on it anyway, so wiring will be starting from scratch.....
Thanks,
Jeff
