New ford 801 raised script fenders?

I see where on Ebay you can now buy new raised script fenders for 601-801 tractors. I wonder if any of you guys had bought any, and if so, what did you think about them?

I did ask if they were the same gauge metal. They said that was a good question but never got back to me. They sure look nice.

I didn't buy them specifically for an x01 tractor, but I did buy a set
of script fenders for a 8N. They came coated with what looked
like epoxy primer. Rough, needing to be sanded to be smooth.

Worse, the set I got looked like they were primed before the script
was stamped, so the primer around the script chipped and was
flaking off. I ended up having to strip or sandblast a brand new
set of fender skins. I wish they had been shipped bare with oil.

They also came without any holes for the bracket bolts.
You measure, you drill. Get it wrong, you buy a new set.
It wasn't all that bad to do. I got it right the first time.
Probably my last time with them too if I can help it.

"Contact Dennis Carpenter in N Carolina. He makes original Ford fenders, hoods etc."

Bring your checkbook, a defibrillator and a chair. IF, they're available.
On the other hand, the quality of everything I've bought from DC has been top notch.
No complaints; simply not cheap.
