Ford 671 proper way to change and refill.

I'm changing the transmission/Hyd fluid oil on SOS takes 11.5 quarts. The manual says after refilling disengage the coupler so the on the rear end. Than run through all 10 speeds and two reverse speeds and check the level. Do you shift through the gears with the clutch pedal pushed in or out?

It is not a clutch pedal, it is an inching pedal. With the traction disconnect in the disconnected position you should be able to shift through the gears without touching the inching pedal. If you do use the pedal, be sure to let the pedal up after switching to each gear. Don't just fly through the gears tough, stop in each gear for several seconds to allow the fluid to fill the various parts of the circuit and purge any air out. It is an open center type of hydraulic circuit so even if you don't get all of the air out initially it will continue to work the rest out as you use the tractor, but that initial shifting through the gears should get most of it. You should check the fluid level again after using the tractor for an hour or so.
