ford 6600 .. more questions ...

I have just bought this tractor which really runs great. There are many things wrong with it that I am trying to address.
Firstly, there is no wiring harness other than a wire from the alternator to the starter and wires from the starter to the ignition key. I am ordering the whole wiring harness and have a few questions.
Where is the water temp sensor?
There is a sensor in the intake that has 2 spade connectors and what looks like a hard line(tube) that has been cut and squeezed closed. Does it perhaps go to the engine block? as I see another coming out of the engine block that has been cut off.
Also, I managed to wipe off the paint covering my info tab, and am not sure if the hood has been changed or if this is a 5000, because the numbers are,
C350277
Model E1014C
2H18B
Rear axle 2F07B
2G10A cant tell what this is
Looking on the net, This tractor clearly looks like a 6600. I am including a pic of my 3000 and 6600.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Cant load a pic.

Temp sensor is located at the front of the cylinder head right next to the thermostat housing. The top radiator hose connects to that housing. The connection in the intake manifold is the heat sensor for the thermostart. It is supposed to have a small fuel line connected to it along with an electrical connector. It is a cold weather starting assist. That serial number does not come up for a 6600.

Compare those numbers to the numbers stamped into the bellhousing, just above and to the rear of the starter. If they match, you have a '72 5000. If different, post what they are, and someone here can decode them for you.
The 6600 was a direct replacement for the 5000, so mostly, if that's what it is, you just have an older tractor than you thought. If it was an early 5000, that would line up with the 5600.

Thanks for the replies. Also, I apologies for the double thread.
After scraping the paint in front of the starter I got the following.
9A156 or 9A15B
C593004 or C590G4
LY2546 or LY254C
The last characters were real hard to read as I have a loader and could not get my fat head closer. Thanks for all the help.

I think the production code is 9A15B 1979 Jan 15th day shift
Model number has me stumped a bit. LY254C the 4 could be independent PTO and C 8 speed. I have no idea what LY25 represent. It is diesel.

ea2 is a 6600/6700 series
ey2 is an orchard version of the 6600/6700
la2 is a 5600 series

cant find a ly2 series on my info.

You might recheck the model number again.

sotxbill, thanks. I scraped until bare metal and got EY254C.
I guess that makes it an orchard version 6600 diesel independent 540 8 speed.
Thanks for all the help.
