1969 ford 3400 w 730 series loader (19-425) "suction ho

Hi Folks

I have a 730 series loader (19-425), attached to 1969 Ford 3400 tractor.

It's time to replace the large diameter (1.5") suction hose. I "think" this is part# 196646 suction tube 37.3 mm ID x 76.2mm L, SAE 20R1? (This is the bigger the return hose with the spring in it, coming off of the filter return.)

I'm pretty sure that this is the part#, but not sure (and my local tractor parts places aren't sure as well).

I have a chunk of radiator hose, Gates 21610, which is SAE 20R3-4 quality, which is better than SAE 20R1 quality (based on what I'm reading).

Is this an OK choice, it does not have the "ribbed" flexible style of the original, but appears to be plenty flexible (and I can put it on in a longer length and probably put the original spring back in it)?

Or does anyone know the REAL FORD part#?

Can post pictures if needed.

CNH part number 196646

Don't use radiator hose, a hydraulic hose shop may have some good hose the right size. Radiator hose tends to swell, and soften up when exposed to oil for a period of time.

Anyone know where I can buy one at a decent price?

My 2 parts places in my area don't have it, can't order it.

Thanks

That's Messicks I posted the page from, they show 2 in stock, under $20
Great folks I get most of my stuff from them

Joe
