Awhile ago, I posted about the fuel injector pump shut off circuit on a '97 vintage 4630.
Turns out it was simply just a diode in the circuit which as I understand it, is powered up when the key switch is turned to the 4th position. There is an indicator bulb, diode before the fuse box, then a relay in the fuse box, from there to the solenoid. Going from memory, parts diagram etc. There are 2 such diodes on this tractor, behind the instrument cluster. I was unaware that the small component with a male and female connector was actually a diode. It's hard to spot on the parts diagram, and or wiring diagrams I've looked at. Dealer charged $58.00 for one, there is an old part number for these that has been superseded, new part# is: 83929594. Best I can figure is where the mice chewed some insulation on the circuit, it shorted and caused the diode to fail, there was a 10 amp fuse blown, not sure if that was the same circuit. Works as it should now !
