Carb Tuning of Ford 600

My motor runs pretty good but pops every now and then. If I pull out the choke (engine warm) I find a sweet spot that eliminates the ?pop?. Any ideas on
adjustment?

Could have an air leak, causing it to run a little lean sometimes.

Many carb problems are found in the ignition.
Have you checked your spark with an adjustable gap spark tester?
They're about $8 at the local parts stores here.
Should jump a 1/4 gap in open air.
Enriching fuel, by pulling the choke, can help it run with weak
spark but may also wash oil off the cylinder walls.
