2000 three cylinder

I'm going to repair and correct the wiring on my new to me 2000. Gauges don't work and the neutral safety switch is missing. PO installed a push button start switch instead of
replacing the keyed ignition switch and I found a mouse nest behind the instrument cluster and many wires chewed. I'm ordering the safety switch and my question, is the fuel
gauge wire a resistance wire? I see a part number on it and it made me wonder.

All of the wires except two have been removed from the headlight switch so that has to be corrected as well.

Thanks

Most wires were part of the wire harness, so those weren't listed with separate part numbers, but the wire form the fuel gauge to the sender on the tank was a direct run so it was a separate part. I am pretty sure that it is just a plain wire and all of the resistance is inside the sender in the tank.

Thanks for that info guys. I had picked up a voltage stabilizer thinking that was possibly my problem before i found the rodent nest. I see the stabilizer in the schematic but haven't
found it yet. Do you suppose it's under the taped wiring harness.
Thanks,
Jack

Voltage stabilizer is a rectangular ceramic block that should be mounted on a bracket on the rear of the instrument cluster itself. There should be an in-line fuse in one of the wires behind the cluster. One of the wires from the fuse should go to the stabilizer.
