1970 Ford 2000 Steering Arm Upper Seal Part Number

I am really struggling to find the correct part number for the seal and felt for the upper seal on my steering arm. For a seal, I am finding 2 different part numbers: C5NN3C615A and D6NN3C615A. For the felt I am finding several different part numbers. Does anyone know what part numbers I am needing? I am leaking hydraulic fluid like crazy at this connection on my tractor. The parts I was looking at is number 17 and 18 in the photo.
Thanks!

Is this a manual box?
Your comment about leaking "hydraulic"
fluid makes me wonder. It should be 90W in
there. I would just call your local dealer
for the seal amd dust felt. They are not
expensive.

According to the parts site those two seal part numbers are two different sizes that look to be intended for use with two different gearbox housings (The part number they are listed as "Used w/" are the gearbox housing part numbers):

C5NN3C615A 1.125" ID x 1.437" OD x .15" Thk, Used W/C5NN-3548-K, Start Year: 01-JAN-65

D6NN3C615A (superseded by 83909346) 1.5" O.D. x 1.0" I.D., Used w/D6NN-3468-C (Not Shown), Start Year: 01-JAN-65.

D6NN-3468-C looks like it was the standard housing used on the 2000 & 3000 ag chassis models, so you would probably need the second one. The second one has just a slightly smaller inside diameter and slightly larger outside diameter, so if you can get those to fit I would use them.

As for the felt dust seal, the parts site only shows one part number, C5NN3586A, so I would assume that one should be good for either gearbox and seal. It is just a dust seal, so if it is snug on the shaft and is large enough to cover the seal completely it will work.

Sean gave good advice in his post. I would add, simply pry out the old seal and measure it. The parts book gives dimensions for the two
different part number seals.

Dunno why the 2 numbers.
Afik there is but one seal (you need one
for each side) that fits all those 3
cylinder boxes with wishbone steering from
65-83 - both power and non power steering.

Take a look at a steering box for a 2600/3600 at the link below. You'll notice that the larger diameter seal was used starting in April of 1977. This tells me that Ford increased the diameter of the steering box casting at that time, most likely due to reports of field breakage in some units.

Since the newer box would have been the service replacement for the older tractors, this is why you're seeing two different seals listed for a 2000. Unless the box on a 2000 has been replaced at some point in the past, the smaller original seal will be used.
2600/3600 steering box, seal is ref 34
