Found this fella for sale. Haven't seen it in person yet. Owner thinks 68 to 72. He can't really recall exactly....

I'm wondering if anybody can roughly date it from these pics? From what I've seen, post 68 had a better engine? Any particular issues with these. Is it actually an industrial or just painted yellow?

He says it runs good and does what it's supposed to do. Obviously it will need some cosmetic help.

Thanks for any info, Jeff.

Grille and louvered hood equals '65 to '68. '68 and up had a bigger engine, not necessarily a better engine. Looks to me like it has simply been painted yellow, as it looks like a yellow Ford 5000 to me.

Agree 65-68, I believe maybe 67-68 but can't see the upper grille good enough to say for sure.
It'll have the 57 hp 233 ci engine
69-later had the 62 hp 256 ci engine.

I agree that it's '68 or earlier.

I would check out the steering good before agreeing to purchase. It's got the power steering system with the cylinder under the nose of the tractor, and those systems were neglected by most folks over the year so a lot of them have excessive play due to worn bracket holes, pins, bushings, etc. and replacement parts are getting hard to find. If everything is tight in the steering and there are no visible power steering fluid leaks then it should be fine.
