7600 With FEL

My buddy tells me there are problems with using a FEL on this tractor with closed center hydraulics. Is this correct and what are the alternatives? I think I stated that correctly. TIA!

I do not know about the 7600 series, but my 6610 needed a CCLS valve that was tied into the main line.

A 7600 is open center hydraulics only. You cannot use a loader valve that is closed center; you'll need to find an open center one, or
convert it if it is convertible.

The only way you'd get 12 GPM would be to mess with the high idle screw. If memory serves, the actual rating is 9.7 GPM at rated speed.

You may be correct... but I thought both the x600 and 10's had 12 gpm pumps... or mabey there was a running change in the later models. Either way, it's slow...

If you flow oil through the inlet and it comes out the return, it's open center. Closed center will not allow through passage of oil. Only
way it can escape is from a work port to the return when the valve is activated.
