Ford 2000 transmission model ID mystery

My 1972 Ford 2000 has six forward speeds and two reverse speeds with a "L" and "H" stick shift. The model number is B1022B and the transmission code is 2H08B. I understand the last character of the model number should be the transmission type- "A" for 4 speed and "C" for 8 speed according to a couple of web sites I've visited but there's no reference to "B" as the final character. I realize I have 6 forward + 2 reverse for 8 total speeds but I'm puzzled by the lack a reference to the "B" transmission.

I attached a photo of the hood sticker which matches the stamping on the flywheel housing. The those web site references incorrect or do I own an unusual six speed transmission?

Thanks for your feedback.

B1022B

B10 (210) 2000 All purpose 1965-1975
10 ? All purpose
2 ? Gasoline
2 ? Trans 540 rpm
B ? 6x2 speed manual (3x1 + hi/low)

Yep! For future reference remember when counting total transmission speeds one does not count the reverse ratios.

Yes, and I still wonder why those web sites don't reference the six speed with the "B" code....very odd.

I do wish it had the same eight speed transmission as my 3000. For my 6' finish mower, 2nd gear is a bit too slow and 3rd is a bit too fast. However, I'm old and retired so going faster isn't a big priority.
