Rest-O-Ride Seat rebuild parts

I've read a number of older forum posts regarding the poor quality of the aftermarket Rest-O-Ride rubber seat springs and bushings. Perhaps that's changed and the quality has improved. I understand they're available from CNH but at a premium price.

I see YT sells the rubber springs and Steiner sells them as well as a bushing kit. Maybe there are other current sources I haven't found.

Any recommendations on a good quality aftermarket source or should I bite the bullet and go with CNH? I don't want to rebuild the seat every couple of years.

Maybe 10 years ago I bought a set of
aftermarket rubber springs that broke within
a few hours of use. Through YT I found Minn-
Kota, literally a mom and pop operation. I
contacted them, sent my original rubber
springs and my steering wheel to get redone.
10 years later the sprimgs work like new and
my steering wheel still looks new. Two or
three years ago I was going to get another
steering wheel done. I called up there and
found out the old gentleman who used to own
the shop had passed away. The lady said she
still had lots of parts plus molds that she
did not know what to do with. She told me
that her husband did all of the prep work
himself then carried the parts and molfs to
a rubber plant that re-did everything
according to his specs. I was hoping that
someone here in the US would buy his molds
and start restoring these old rubber parts.

Thanks....and I have no idea what happened to the text of my initial posting. Essentially I was hoping someone could provide feedback on a current source for quality replacement parts (rubber springs and bushings) for the seat.

I understand CNH sells them but are are very expensive so I was hoping to find another source of reliable parts.

Much appreciated!

Blue---followed the same track as you with Minn-Kota. Since have purchased several after market rubbers and have been satisfied so far.

Wayne, could you share where you bought them?
I've got a couple of seats to re-do myself.

Minn Kota provided high quality torsion springs but they are out of business and no longer rebuild such parts.

The Chinese made aftermarket springs are of poor quality and not worth the lower price asked. I've tried them and they fail within weeks or months.

In years past, I bought very expensive torsion springs from JD. Not sure where they sourced them but they were quality parts and held up well.

I would bite the bullet and buy from CNH.

The last pair I got, 8 months ago, was from this site. The pair before that was two years ago I think, was from Walt's Tractor

It's a pretty good guess that all the R-O-R seat parts sold today all come from one and the same supplier. There just isn't a huge market for them so no need for competition...

My local CNH dealer quoted the same prices for the bushing kit ($40) and rubber springs ($54 each) as the online sellers. Perhaps there is just one manufacturer.
