961 center hood

I know the 960 and 961 hoods are different but wondering if it's just the center to center hinge measurement or is the actual hood size different? I have someone who is selling what he believes is a straight hood off a 960 but his actual length and width dimensions are identical to my 961. 41.25" length, 8.25" rear of hood and 9.5" front of hood. He isn't sure about the hinge measurement. Mine are 34.5" center to center. He's got to measure his but can't get to it for awhile. I just don't want to buy it and be of no use to me. I wonder if he just has the ID of the tractor it came off of wrong.

Doors are the same. Hinge bolt hole spacing is different, necessitating different CNH part numbers.

The fuel tank is the problem. A 960 will not interchange with a 961. But a 961 hood will fit a 960. As stated, the hinges spacing is different due to tanks size difference.
