Recognize this stud?

I found it in the tool box of that 851 I bought, where it has
apparently resided for quite some time. It is 1/2 inch fine
thread, so too small for a wheel stud. It kind of resembles
the studs that hold the brake backing plate on my NAA but
I can't remember how long those were.

It cleaned up pretty nicely, looks like it may have been stored
in there since it was new.

If i remember right it takes a 3/4 inch socket to remove the front tires/wheels on an 801 series which would make the stud a 1/2 inch

Too long for a wheel stud. Not long enough for the rear axle bearing supports on the 8N & NAAs. Previous owner probably had such an idea, found it didn't work and just throwd it into the tool book. Doesn't look like anything I have ever seen on a Ford.

No. It takes a 13/16 socket but it is a 1/2 stud. But that's not for the front wheel on an 800 size tractor.

Don't over think this.... It's a wheel stud. It's just not for the tractor. Lots of heavy implement hubs use a stud just like that one.

Well with out going out and checking for sure I do not know for sure but I am still pretty sure my 841S has the nuts that use a 3/4 inch socket to remove but they also may have been replaced at some point
