Trying to root out an electrical gremlin. Back in April, I lost power to the injection pump solenoid, also noticed mice had damaged the insulation on that wire, conductor is fine, checked continuity. With the multi-meter in the circuit, when I turn the key, all the way, I heard the solenoid click and the meter shows voltage, but then stops. From the key switch, in the run position, it should show voltage all the time. I can hear it click, but it won't start unless I jump the solenoid from the battery.
I suspect the key switch at this point, make any sense ? It was a new one from the dealer when I first got it 2 years ago. I've looked over the harness completely using a mirror in tight places, all wiring looks fine. Mice had a nest behind the instrument cluster more than once, but only clipped the insulation on the brown/yellow wire with the Lucas male-female connector.
