Inner pto seal

I'm working on a new to me 601 mutt, was changing out the PTO seal and noticed that the inner seal was missing. Do I have to split the center from tranny or can I get to the seal by removing the lift cover? Thx Dan

Be more specific about "inner seal". Are we talking about the one in the front side of the differential? If so, I'd guess you might be able to get it by removing the lift cover, but I'm not sure.

Larry, Yes...front seal and bushing.
