7710 hydraulic trouble

Last fall I was having trouble getting enough pressure at the remotes and 3 point, the dealer put in a new relief valve on the pump and it seemed to help at the remotes but the 3 point would still get sluggish after lifting a few bales. A couple days ago I used it to cut hay and after everything got warmed up the discbine started raising really slow and wouldn't kick the lever back to neutral after it did raise. I tried it the next morning with the oil cold and it worked perfect. Any thoughts??

Most likely a worn main hydraulic pump. The dealer should have a tool that he can use to performance test the pump directly, ahead of the remotes. If not, suggest removing the pump and disassembling it for inspection.

The problem could also be a bad priority valve pack, and/or stuck combining valve inside said pack. This is why I would test the main pump before I did anything else.

The pump is likely worn out. In principle I agree with Bern that you should test it as he described... if you had the necessary adapter, etc. In reality, since it's about 94% that it's buggered... I'd just take it out and break it apart. If the bushings are shot in the main pump section and the housings cut deeply... you found the problem. And that is completely normal on those things once they accumulate a bunch of hours.

Thanks everyone. I'll try to get the pump checked out first then look into the priority valve. Thanks again!
