ford 4000 industrial pumping transmission full of hyd oil

my ford 4000 industial is leaking hyd oil from the cover under clutch area and filling up the transmission with hyd oil also any ideas Thanks

From reading the forum this seem to be a fairly common problem. Usually caused by the tube that runs through the transmission to the pump. Both suction and pressure tubes run through the transmission and over time water in the transmission oil rusts through the tubes.

Have read where someone placed a smaller tube inside and seem to remember a pretty extensive thread on fixing this but can't remember which forum it was I read it on.

If the transmission is filling up with hydraulic fluid then most likely a leaking hydraulic pressure line. There are two hydraulic lines that go through the transmission between the hydraulic sump and the pump.

The fluid dripping out "under the clutch area" is probably due to the the over full transmission leaking around the input shaft causing the fluid in the bell housing. The clutch is in the bell housing and that area is supposed to be dry. There is a hole at the bottom of the bell housing that is there to let any fluids that do get in there to be able to drip out so they don't contaminate the clutch. There should be a cotter pin in the hole that is loose enough that it rattles around when the tractor is running which is designed to keep the hole from getting clogged up with mud and dirt.
