We had a 4610 come into the shop with the side cover gasket blown between the bolts on the steering sector. Replaced it and a week later it was back with the top seal leaking. Pulled the sector and disassembled it. Found that the cylinder was badly scored, from what I don't have a clue. The piston is only sealed with one teflon ring.New Holland wants roughly $1250.00 for this housing. Took it to the guy that bores and sleeves my Ford engines and asked him if he could sleeve this, He said it should't be a problem.Got it back yesterday morning and it's back on the tractor.Has anyone else done this or needs it done?
