1966 ford 3000 keeps popping off new plug wires from the top of spark plug. Also has a miss I can't find why.I put on a
new carburator last week but didn't seem to help much. Can anyone advise me on what do do?

Compression gas leaving the cylinder-pushing the plug wire off. Bad seal. Spark plugs are either not torqued right or the washer is damaged or missing. Worse case sceanario spark plug threaded hole is damaged.

Had #2 on my 3600 do that several times. Compression was leaking through the new defective Champion plug. Had my doubts, but turned it upside downe in vise and filled with kerosene. Took about 3 seconds for it to all drain out.

Are the plug wires new? Still missing afterwards? Try pulling the clip inside the plug boot out alittle with needle nose pliers. I replaced plugs and wires on mine and the plug wire kept popping off, turns out the clip thing was up in the boot to far and not dulling locking onto the plug.

That also fixed the misfire issue I had. I pulled the clips out fully and secured em onto the plugs then started the engine to see if it ran better, it did. Then I carefully slid the boots down until they sealed correctly
