Who makes the best quality Holley repair kit

I've used TISCO, a generic kit from TSC or some similar store and CNH.

Do yourself a very big favor, bite the bullet and buy a CNH kit. It will be expensive but it will be correct and the gaskets will tolerate ethanol.

Take both tractor and carburetor serial number with you when you go to your CNH dealer to order your kit(They will not have it in stock.). Take your carburetor apart and inspect it before ordering your likely non-returnable kit. If the accelerator pump bore is badly scored or the float pivot pin holes in the bowl casting are badly egg shaped, don't spend money for a kit as you will not be satisfied with the results.

Not all Holley carburetors are the same, which is why you need the carburetor serial number to order your kit. TISCO and other kits will likely have incorrect metering plate gaskets. Moreover, I've seen TISCO float bowl gaskets that were made from materials that will not tolerate ethanol. Such gaskets swell to the point of uselessness within days when in contact with ethanol.

I sell several TISCO kits every year, in fact I stock one. Can't remember a complaint.

Same here no way I would get reamed at CNH for the same basic kit from TISCO. Just make sure the metering body gasket fits I have had to do a slite trim job on'em...

Holleys get a bad rap its not the Holley carb

I had an old pro do mine 25 years ago. He used ultrasonic bath to completely clean it.
Still works well.

A lot of things have changed over the years. The last time I
bought a carb kit from a dealer it came in a Tisco package.
At dealer prices. It was not for a Ford/Holley though.
All you can do is ask about the source/supplier I suppose.

I avoid A&I. I don't do any Holley's other than my own, but I do
~75-100 Marvel/Scheblers every year. The only trouble I've had
so far was with an A&I kit. Here's the needle valve (on the left)
compared to a new one after a winter setting in the carb.
Obviously it wouldn't let any fuel through.

Some dealers will sell aftermarket parts to the unsuspecting consumer at OEM manufacturers pricing.

Pay attention.

Be advised that not all of the holes in the metering body gasket are in the same places for all Holley carburetors.

As an experienced professional, I suspect you would notice such things.

That said, most posters are not so experienced, which is why I advise biting the bullet and buying a CNH kit, which will be right, and is not the same (or at least was not the same 10 years ago) as a TISCO kit.

I would hammer out my own gaskets before I got raped from CNH on a gasket for a Holley. If a man can not manage to figger out if it fits he don't need top fudge with it....

Not disagreeing with you Dean.
Just want people to know to look out for that possibility.
The fact that it came from a dealer may not make it any better.
You have to pay attention to what you're getting.
