I am swapping out my generator for an alternator. My current regulator is this:http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/C0NF10505A_Voltage-Regulator-12-Volt-22A-Generator_468.htm
The instructions that came with the alternator show this regulator:

obviously, the regulator goes away but can anyone tell me which wires go where? the poles on my regulator are labeled A F B and I have a wiring diagram so I know where they go now. The poles on the regulator diagram sent with the alternator are D B WL F And B. thanks

Disconnect the A,F,B from generator and the A & F at regulator and add a wire from the alternator output stud to the B terminal on regulator, leaving the wire already on the reg B terminal. If you wish to clean it up a bit by removing the VR completely, then splice those two wires on the reg B terminal together.

Great, thanks for the help.

(quoted from post at 16:14:37 06/09/17) The spliced "b" wire goes back to the battery stud or the open wire on the plug harness?
do not understand the question. What "open wire on the plug harness"?

The alternator came with a plug with a black and red wire connected. Per the instructions the red goes to the battery terminal which leaves the black wire. The instructions have the black wire hooking in with the generator light wire.

he problem here may be that same as with the brackets, where you are giving me part identification information that does not match what you bought. The conversion kit that you referenced is a one wire alternator, whereas now you are describing a 3 wire alt, which you later mentioned in another post. How do you expect anyone to help when fed bogus info? That is worse than no info at all!
That is right as to other wire and light for what I "guess" that you have!

Jmor, I am not trying to cause any confusion. The link I provided was the kit I purchased, the model number I gave is what was on the
instructions. I admit I did not cross reference the two before posting. Let me reorganize myself and I'll post a new topic with all the questions.
Sorry
