Hey folks,
Just bought a power steering pump from this website (http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/Ford-4000_Power-Steering-Pump_E6NN3K514EA.html). It came with no instructions as for the oil to use.. My gut tells me that it takes hydraulic 10 or 20 weight but wanted to know if I missed something, figured I'd check with the experts.

Best thing you can do is try to get an owners manual or talk to some one who has one. The manual for the 801/601 series Fords call for type F automatic transmission fluid. Me I use the newer Dextron 4 in my 841S which is a newer universal ATF. I tried the 303 type UTF once and found it did not work as well as the ATF does

Just about anything wet and slippery will work....
I use 134D/TDH most times.... but 'power steering fluid' or ATF type fluid will work. I've also used 10W30 engine oil on the internal leakers...
As long as you have something in the 10W band it will be fine.
