I have a 3400 without rear remotes and drawbar to use pull type hydraulic implements such as a 10' disc. I would like to add them. I do not need help with the drawbar but do need some help with adding rear remotes. I DO have 3pt hitch and currently run a 7' finish mower. can anyone give me some pointers please?

is there a diagram I can get that would show me how it all goes together? That way I could figure out where to start.

When you're sitting on the tractor, look straight down between your knees and you'll see a 3x5 plate. That is called the blocking plate. The valves that I linked to get installed in place of that plate. You remove the plate and install valve where the plate was. There are a number of o-rings under the plate and if they are in ggoiood shape they can be used again under the valve, but chances are that after 40 years or so the o-rings will need to be replaced, so you need to get an o-ring kit as well. Then you add hoses to the valve that go to the rear of the tractor and a bracket that hold the hoses in place. The hoses that they sell have quick disconnects on the end that goes toward the rear of the tractor.

Some other sites sell complete kits, including the o-rings that go under the valve block, along with instructions. Here's a link to a site that has a single and a dual spool kit:

Complete kits

The first one on that page is a single spool kit that will fit your 3400 and the third one is a dual spool kit that will fit. The 3400 is the Utility model in the 3000 series and the 3 point hydraulics are the same across the series, so any kit that says that it fits a 3000 will work on a 3400.
