Will Van Sickle New Holland red paint look alright on a 601 Ford or is it too bright of a red?

Van Sickle seem's to be one of the better matches.

XX1 red is a slightly orange red. Very much more of an orange tint than the vermillion of the older Fords.

Funny you should mention New Holland Red. Just gearing up today to start spraying a few things with Valspar's Tractor Paint, New Holland Red. When I saw it on my spruced up MF Cutter I decided to do a few jube pieces and the A-frame on my cultivator. the color chip on the Valspar website looks kind of like a rusty red so it doesn't represent the true color.

I don't like reds that are orangy, but this one just makes it to the borderline of orange so the red still predominates. I think I'll use it on the Jube chassis, if I'm ever stupid enough to do that.

My air suspension seat and my running boards are getting it.
I'll have 3 different reds now.

Note: the outrigger for the tailwheel is NOT New Holland Red.
It's Tremclad brushed on. But the 3 pt frame is New Holland Red. Good paint, shiny, hard as nails.

This Air Cleaner is New Holland Red too.

Dylan,

Just went out and took these.
It looks like a good photographic representation of Valspar NHR,
at least the way my computer's color is calibrated.
See what I mean about just a hint of orange!
