Ford 801 / 871 Fluid leak

Suspected O-Rings on Hydraulic manifold. Was incorrect. There appears to be a hole where there is not supposed to be one. Can anyone shed any light on this. Hydro Fluid exits pretty quickly when running. Hole is circled in photo.

Sorry, but that photo may as well not have uploaded as far as I'm concerned. It does not look like anything I recognize as part of an 801.

Is the photo upside down? I'm not smart enough to turn it around. Looks like part of the transmission case is broken out. And what is the red thing?

I had to go out and look at a couple of my tractors in order to see how they look. The bottom of your manifold looks different from the two that I have. The bottom edge of the flange should come right down flush with the bottom of the trans. It looks like whoever you bought it from needed a replacement and got one which is different. Looking in the CNH parts page it shows two different manifolds.

That gap is there on all S-O-S, its not on 4 speed. The reason for 2 different manifolds is difference between XX0 and XX1 adapter plate. Them orings do go from time to time

Shaun, I looked at my 961 and my 971, they are the same. flush with the trans. So far as O-rings, read the OP and look at the pic.
