NAA hydraulic problem

after attaching a two row planter and with my lift lever all the way up my tractor hydraulics will lift the front of the planter a few inches off the ground but not the back end. If I raise the lift lever all
the way up and manually lift the back of planter slightly the planter will lift easily and hold with the engine off.
Any ideas? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

ry this: remove top link and replace it with a chain , but tractor end not connected to rocker, but to some other sturdy part of tractor in same vicinity. Then try lift again.

(quoted from post at 04:03:42 05/20/17) Is the draft selector lever in draft control mode or position control mode?

It is in position control but I have tried it both ways. Thanks for replying.

I'm interested in your line of thinking here JMOR.
Are you thinking the feedback circuit may be the issue?
We all know this isn't my area of expertise, but I like to learn.

es. Trying to rule it in or out. If plunger seat worn enough that pulling on it moves swivel far enough to rear, then a little wear, bent draft ctrl link &/or adjustment problems could prevent lift. By doing as I suggested, he will set the top link rocker/yoke/plunger free. He should use hand force on the rocker once free, while trying to lift, also. Chain necessary or else lift won't be trying to lift whole implement.

Thanks for the explanation. The chain hooked elsewhere was the give away.
I still have to fix that 851 top cover so I'll add that to my list of possible tests.
Mine obviously has different symptoms, but knowledge doesn't hurt. :)

Not saying that couldn't happen but this isn't a MF tractor with Advanced Pressure Control were it could and did happen
