Just aquired correct loader set-up for my 801. However, when I install the Hydraulic valve adaptor plate, I no longer have any power to 3pt. hitch. Remove plate, power to three pt. returns. Anyone encounter similar problem, and how was it resolved?

No, that plate has the same limitation in that it sits before the 3 point control valve in the circuit. It just has an extra return port so that you can use it to power two control valves for two different implements, like a loader and a backhoe, as long as one of the implement control valves has power beyond capabilities. You still need to loop the output to either the return or power beyond port when no external control valves are connected.

The only way to not have to loop the output would be to not use an adapter plate below the original blocking plate and instead replace the original blocking plate with either a diverter valve or a remote valve. A diverter valve has a big drawback in that it only allows you to use either the loader or the 3 point lift, but not both at the same time. A remote valve with a detente would be better as you can still run both the loader and the 3 point at the same time, but they are quite a bit more expensive than the adapter plate that you already own. Even with a remote valve I would still use quick disconnects in case you ever have a need to remove the loader, and once you have the quick disconnects in the circuit it is simple to loop the hoses when you disconnect so I don't think it's wort the extra expense to add a remote valve, but that's just my opinion.

The Loop-back with quick connects is an excellent idea!, and exactly what I plan on doing...Although if the thing works well enough, i probably won't remove the bucket all that much.

I've seen it done with Tee connectors and a ball valve as well, but since your goal is to make it easier to disconnect the loader, why not user quick disconnects for that, and then they're there to make the loopback connection too.

Here is a different adaptor plate, I wonder if it solves this particular problem?

Hydraulic Valve Adapter Kit (w/ Power Beyond) Includes O-Ring & Instructions

This application will keep your 3-point hitch & remotes pressurized when using your third valve.

I was starting to wonder if one had to remove the adaptor every time you decided to remove the loader...I'm surprised there is not an updated adaptor plate with a way to keep fluid to the 3pt. Of course looping the hoses, sounds like an economical fix, for certain!

Once you have the loader installed and reinstall the adapter plate, I recommend using hoses with quick disconnects between the plate and the loader control valve, with the male/female reversed between the two, so that if you ever need to disconnect the loader you can easily loop the two ports of the plate together so that the 3 point lift continues to work and you're not dead heading the pump.

Makes perfect sense now!...I took the adaptor out, until I can find time to hook the whole mess up. Thanks!

. The pressurized oil flows from the power beyond plate, through the open center loader valve and returns to the power beyond plate to power the three point. As you have it now, your pump is dead heading & only outlet is overpressure relief valve..........not good.

Thanks for the response

.

I have not yet attached the rest of the loader, controls or hoses, So the pressure and return ports are blocked off. Seems as if it should work like the original cover plate with those two ports blocked?
Or with that plate attached does the fluid then need to make a full run through the system, before it will work correctly?

Your power beyond valve from the loader return to the plate correct? Needs to flow thru so oil continues on to the 3pt
