Ford 800 series question

Hey y'all

Just a general question out there ...

Do any of y'all have an model 820 FIVE speed and PTO?

Just got one in here, looking through the books they all say that the 820's never got PTO's and only came with four speed tranny.

S/N is 126600

Had sombody tell me that the five speed and PTO was a "special order option" that was not offered by the factor on 820's until 1957... So I went onto eBay and orderd a sales brochure (12 pages) that was offered by ford tractor dealers in 1957 to see if they offer any special order options.

Just curious if anyone else has the same animal as me.

Thanks y'all

The 620 621 came with a 4 speed
The 820 821 came with a 5 speed
PTO was a option on both of them.

hey ford farmer, that's what I thought too. My books all say four speed.

It's not an upside down two... It's very well stamped plain as day. The serial number puts it into being made in 1957

And as I have been told and shown in the other post to this thread the PTO was offered as an factory option but only after 1957 ... Nothing about special order options on the 820's on sales literature 1956 or prior.

Thanks for posting the chart... Where is it from?

hey John in la ... Thanks for the info very much.

It's a interesting animal isint it... It's got the PTO ... But no hydraulics no three point lift...

I guess you could still use it to pull a hay baler around with.

here is a pic of the beast as it sits at the moment. Working on getting it running been sitting for a long time. Sorry no pics yet of the shifter plate cover or S/N

Will get more pics up later

As well, likely powered a grain auger, bale elevator, trailer type hay mower, small feed grinder, sprayer pump, etc.
