Started a new thread for this new problem:
I have a 1968 ford 4000 with select-o-speed transmission.
I have split my tractor between engine and transmission in order to seal a plug (cast plug, freeze plug w/e) which has been leaking coolant. The plug is located at back of engine's water jacket -- behind the flywheel.
I need to now remove the cast plug (has a hole right in the middle of it, where coolant pours into clutch housing). The plug takes a 1-1/16" (?) hex key must be threaded, not what I expected... Also, if I can get it off, it is in need of a new plug- would be nice to replace with the right part but I can't find it anywhere.. Anyone know anything about this?
