Hey y'all here is the question of the day.
Looking at a tractor for sale I'm thinking of buying.
It's been farmerized so here is how it's currently configured.
173ci red tiger gas motor. "820" is stamped on the block above the serial number.
The tranny is either a 4 or 5 speed... Don't remember which, only took a quick look at it.
The rear end has a PTO... Also has the lower arms of the three point are attached to the bottom of the rear end but no lift. No hydraulic controls. Just a flat piece bolted to the rear end with a seat on it.
So here's the question... Can I swap out the top cover assembly above the rear end and just "drop in" a top cover/ hydraulic pump lift assembly?
If I'm able to that would make this either a 860 or 850 depending on the tranny. Going to look at it again tomorrow.
Anyone have any thoughts on if it canbe done?
