Front End Loader Question

Thinking about picking up a FEL for my Ford 640 tractor. Question....in lieu of suitcase weights (which I'm having a hard time finding), would a FEL add beneficial weight up front besides the obvious benefit of the loader itself. In other wotds, does an FEL help balance and stabalize the tractor itself if you are using an implement behind you such as a disc?

Here's a loader I'm considering....for a Ford 600/800 series tractor. Anyone have any idea what brand this is? A good one?
Thanks

Loaders aren't generally considered useful weight, especially not on a 2 wheel drive. You will want ballast in the back. A search for ballast here will show you a lot of options. The loader pictured will need new rods due to the loss of chrome. Find out what that will cost you before making an offer on it. They will probably be available only through a good hydraulic shop, and it will be speedy.

I notice that #300 in suitcase weights is vastly different from #500+ hanging 6' off the nose of the tractor.

Given a choice I go to my 9N with no loader versus firing up the 3400 with FEL.

Hanging a disk off the back is alot of weight far out there - I think you'll find with the FEL you'll be driving a teetertotter.

Thanks guys.....think I'll keep looking for suitcase weights. Have a boom lift, so really think I can do what I want lifting wise with it.
