couple question on Ford 600 teardown

Got a few questions as I worked on the machine...Ford 640
1) If my clutch disk is truly 9" then this is a 9" clutch, correct? I assume it's the disk measurement and not the width of the bolts to the flywheel

2) How many bolts should have held trans and engine together? I had 2 on top, 2 on each side and the 3 at the hydraulic port....should there have been more bolts on the bottom? It seems like there was a threaded hole with no bolt.

3) What is the best way to keep the engine from rotating while working on the clutch/flywheel? You can only hold the front crank bolt if going in one direction on the back. Impact wrench seems to work for removal but I'll need to torque things back together.

4) What is the feeling on messing with rear main seal and trans input seal? If not leaking and the tractor is apart, do you replace both those or only as needed? Don't see much oil on clutch/pressure plate. Think it may have been slipping if springs have become weak. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, MODAY

1) yes
2)not sure
3)cinch strap around front crankshaft pulley and suitable anchor
4)If not leaking, leave them alone

I would have to look as for the number of bolts. One way you can keep the engine from turning is put in tow of the bolts and then make a wedge form a piece of wood and slip it in so the flywheel ring gear catches the piece of wood and holds it tight.
